The #1 Hydrocarbon Treaters Unit (#1 HTU), Unit 15, contains the original product treating units built in 1958.  It is a combination treater which includes processes for:

 

· Propane caustic washing and drying

· Butanes and C3/C4 extractive Merox

· LSR Merox

· Light and Heavy catalytic gasoline Merox

 

The Merox treaters have some common caustic handling systems, spent caustic degassing and storage facilities.  In addition to the Merox treaters Unit 15 includes:

 

· Amine Scrubbing Towers

· Amine Regeneration System

· Dual tower sour water stripper (120gpm)

 

Most of the hydrocarbon treating equipment appears to be dated from the original installation in 1958.  The sour water stripper towers were replaced in 1994.  The Amine regeneration tower was new in 1998.  The sour water exchangers have also been recently replaced.
