The
Amine Regeneration unit, Unit 31, was installed in 1983 with a
circulation rate of 280 gpm, to provide for the needs of the
expanding refinery.
The
unit utilizes a conventional steam reboiled amine stripper tower.
The majority of the equipment dates from the original
installation.
The
unit is of stick built construction in its own distinct plot area,
with all amine tankage and handling systems.
The generated sour gases are fed to the adjacent sulfur
recovery unit.
