Crude Distillation Unit #1
Vacuum Distillation Unit
The CDU-1 and VDU were originally designed and constructed in 1954 by Foster Wheeler as a heat integrated unit. The unit was commissioned with a rated capacity of 14,000 bpsd. Over the next twelve (12) years the unit was de-bottlenecked to its current design capacity of 35,000 bpsd. This unit also includes a kerosene rerun tower.
The desalter, rated at 50,000 b/d, was installed in 1973 and the crude charge heater was replaced in 1981. The vacuum charge heater was replaced and the vacuum tower was completely rebuilt in 1988.
