The DDU was designed and constructed in 1973 utilizing UOP’s Hydrobon technology.  The unit has a capacity of 16,000 b/d and has run as high as 18,000 b/d upon occasion processing mainly straight run distillates as well as a portion of the light cracked gas oil. The unit is designed to process 1.0 wt% sulfur feed into 0.1 wt% sulfur diesel product.

 The DDU reactor is 102” diameter by 17’-6” T/T, 765 psig @ 800 F, A204C with 405SS cladding.    There are two (2) 60% motor driven reciprocating make-up/recycle gas compressors each rated at 500 hp with a discharge pressure of 784 psig.
