The Naphtha Hydrotreater and Platformer units were originally designed and constructed in 1967 as an integrated system and had a final capacity of 9,000 b/d.  The UOP licensed Platformer unit is a three (3) reactor semi regen design.   

 The Naphtha Splitter unit was designed and constructed in late 2002 and operated approximately one year prior to the closure of the refinery.  The unit was constructed as a standalone system with a capacity of 16,000 b/d.  It is located adjacent to the Naphtha Hydrotreater / Platformer unit.

 The Naphtha Hydrotreater reactor is 84” diameter by 16’-3” T/T, 440 psig @ 750 F and is constructed of SA387C with 347SS cladding.   The recycle compressor for this unit is a steam turbine driven centrifugal Demag compressor.  The compressor is rated for 1877 hp and has a capacity of 57 MMscfd of hydrogen at a discharge pressure of 490 psig.
