In 1999, a new Naphtha Splitter and C5/C6 Isomerization Unit were integrated with the existing #2 Naphtha Hydrotreater Unit (NHU) and Catalytic Reformer Unit (CRU) to form the current ISO-REF unit.

The light and heavy straight run naphthas (LSRN/HSRN) from the #1 & #2 CDU’s are combined into the #2 NHU feed.   The #2 NHU is designed to process up to 14,000 BPSD of full range naphtha.  The hydrotreated naphtha is then split with the LSRN providing feed to the ISOM unit and the HSRN providing feed to the CRU.

The isomerate and reformate products from these process are recombined and sent to storage for gasoline blending.
