2,600 B/D Kerosene Hydrotreater Unit
Kerosene Hydrotreater Unit (KHT)
Originally built in 1964, this unit was expanded in 1970 to its current capacity of approximately 2,600 b/d. The unit was originally designed by Lummus to treat kerosene however; the unit was also utilized to treat a portion of the distillates also. The reactor is 54” dia x 15’-5” S/S, 1675 psig @ 750 F, 1CR-1/2Mo with 321SS cladding. This metallurgy is acceptable for most current hydrotreating processes. The Make up and Recycle hydrogen is provided by the CRU and is compressed by a single Worthington reciprocating compressor.
